Type: Gold "Dragon" necklace with gold chain necklace Description: 14k yellow gold dragon design holding a bezel set, pear shaped Australian black opal suspended from a clutch/slider bail on a 14k yellow gold necklace. Method: Dragon design, bezel, and clutch bail were hand fabricated in 14k yellow gold. Dragon design was "carved" by hand using engraver's tools from a piece of sheet gold and attached to the custom fitted pear-shaped bezel for bezel setting the opal. Clutch bail was fabricated with articulated links to suspend the opal/dragon piece. Cork was used as a "clutch" inside of this bail to provide slight friction on an Italian manufactured 14k yellow gold chain.
