Type: Gold necklace with pearl & diamonds Description: 14k yellow gold pendant and chain with 2 approx. .10ct round brilliant diamonds bead set into wings of "fairy" figure, and approx. 5x8mm pear-shaped cultured pearl set in articulated bail. Attached to 14k yellow gold cable link chain. Method: "Fairy" figure is carved from wax and cast with texture on wings added by use of eledctric engraving tool. Engraving tool was used from different angles giving texture a "grain" or velvety appearance. Bail and cap for pearl was hand fabricated and added to the base of "fairy" figure so that it is articulated. Some granulation is used in the bail and milgrain edging is used in the base of the "fairy" figure as the legs morph into the loop for the bail. See next photo for extreme close up of figure.
