Dear Allison,

This is "Write a Letter to Kid Day" so you are my "KID"!

I wanted to write this because I wanted to let you know that I think you are an absolutely incredible kid. You have learned to accept the good times and have also learned to excel in the rough times that might come your way.

I admire how you can bounce back and try harder each time something gets in your way. You are funny, beautiful and I know that you will touch the world in your own special way.

My friends are already asking "when is Allison coming?" They also think you are an incredible kid and it isn't just idle conversation to make me feel good. They really do admire you and think you are special.

You and I have a very special bond and I hope that you feel it too. I want you to know that I am here for you always and you can talk to me any time - be it good times or rough times. We all have some of those times and need someone to talk to. I promise to be a good listener.

I know you are having a great time this week with your Dad and your friends. These are special times. Hope you are keeping a journal because it always is nice to be able to look back and read about what happened. I am so sorry I didn't do that!
